About Odyssey Herbicide

  • Odyssey Herbicide by BASF is a selective, early post-emergence herbicide designed to control a wide range of broadleaf and grassy weeds.

Odyssey Herbicide Composition and Technical Details

  • Technical Content: Imazethapyr 35% + Imazamox 35% WG
  • Mode of Entry: Systemic
  • Mode of Action: BASF Odyssey is an ALS (Acetolactate synthase) inhibiting herbicide which is readily absorbed by both roots and foliage and translocated quickly through xylem and phloem to the site of action at the growing points of the weed. It inhibits Acetolactate synthase, a key enzyme in the pathway of biosynthesis of the branched-chain essential amino acids and thereby inhibits protein synthesis.

Key Features & Benefits

  • Odyssey Herbicide effectively manages a wide range of broadleaf and grassy weeds, reducing the need for multiple herbicides.
  • It can be applied early in the growing season, allowing for timely weed control and minimizing competition with crops.
  • It gives faster control of weeds.
  • It provides extended protection against multiple flushes of weeds, reducing the need for repeated applications.
  • Rain fastness: Effective within 3 hours of application, making it reliable even in unpredictable weather conditions.
