Technical Composition
UPL Saaf is a combination of two active ingredients: carbendazim and mancozeb. Carbendazim is a systemic fungicide that works by inhibiting the production of ergosterol, a vital component of fungal cell membranes. Mancozeb is a contact fungicide that forms a protective layer on the plant surface, preventing the penetration of fungal spores.
Mode of Action
Saaf works by a combination of systemic and contact action. The carbendazim component is absorbed by the plant and moves throughout the tissues, providing protection from within. The mancozeb component forms a protective layer on the plant surface, preventing the penetration of fungal spores.
