Barrix Catch Vegetable Fly Trap is a highly effective, research-based and scientifically designed trap with a design patent. It is easy to assemble and install in all types of farm fields, and simple to maintain by removing dead flies. The trap works along with a pheromone lure to attract and trap vegetable flies, especially Bactrocera cucurbitae (melon fly), helping to reduce pest population and crop damage.

The trap container has a large holding capacity of up to 5400 dead flies, making it suitable for long-duration use. It plays an important role in Integrated Pest Management (IPM) by enabling early pest detection and reducing dependence on chemical sprays, thereby improving crop quality and yield.

Dosage

  • Use 4 traps per acre

Usage

  • Fix the trap properly as per design
  • Install the pheromone lure inside the trap
  • Hang the trap at 3–5 feet height under shade
  • Ensure the lure is fixed properly and does not fall due to wind
  • After 15 days, add 1–2 drops of insecticide (Malathion/DDVP) to reactivate
  • place the lure once every 45 days
  • Remove trapped flies regularly and dispose by burying or burning
