Amsac is a broad-spectrum contact and stomach insecticide that is effective as a foliar spray for controlling insect pests in cotton, cabbage, tomato, chilli, and pigeon pea. It works by inhibiting the entry of sodium ions into nerve cells, causing paralysis and ultimately the death of target pests. Amsac belongs to the novel oxadiazine group of insecticides and is highly effective against pest populations that have developed resistance to conventional pesticides. It provides broad-spectrum control of most lepidopteran species and is effective against all larval stages. Its unique mode of action makes it an ideal choice for insect resistance management (IRM) spray programs. Additionally, Amsac becomes rainfast within two hours of application, ensuring reliable performance even under unpredictable weather conditions.
