Meothrin Insecticide is a broad-spectrum synthetic pyrethroid insecticide containing Fenpropathrin 30% EC, widely used for the control of sucking and chewing pests in various crops. It acts mainly through contact and stomach action, providing quick knockdown of pests and effective field protection. Meothrin is highly effective against mites, thrips, whiteflies, aphids, jassids, and certain caterpillars that damage crop leaves, buds, and young shoots. It works by disrupting the nervous system of insects, leading to rapid paralysis and death. The product is commonly used in crops like cotton, chilli, brinjal, tomato, okra, citrus, and tea. Meothrin also helps in controlling mite infestations that cause leaf curling, bronzing, and reduced plant growth. When used at the recommended dose, it supports healthy crop development, improves plant vigor, and enhances overall yield quality.
